China Become A Joint In Cotton And Textile Industry

China, India, USA and Pakistan are the main countries who are producing the cotton at large scale and also consuming it for their own needs. With the passage of time china and India becomes the main producer of cotton in the world and unexpectedly china beats all records and become a joint in cotton and textile industry. And China also makes a significant step and it consume more of its cotton production for its products rather than exporting the raw cotton. Now china is fulfilling its own textile industry demand and there is a significant decline in Chinese exports of cotton. And India filled the vacuum and it starts exporting cotton in the markets.

Now  china starts importing the cotton to give a helping hand to its textile industry. Although it makes a negative impact on its cotton production but Government has made this policy.

Chinese cotton import boost in 2003. China was importing 170,000 tons in 2002 then in 2003 imports of cotton touches the 870,000 tons. And it did not stop here, the trend continuous and imports goes to 1.823 million tons in 2004, 2.572 million tons in 2005 and then to 3.25 million tons in the first 10 months of 2006.
As china become the biggest importer of the cotton 100 of dealers from round the glob start exporting cotton to China.


Let’s talk about the Chinese cotton out put.
In  2001, Chinese cotton products output 5.7 million tons and in 2005, china raised the target of 5.32 million tons. But Chinese textile industry demand of cotton increases 5.91 million tons to 9.3 million tons, and due to shortage of supply china made the decision to import the cotton.

One draw back of this export that damages the Chinese farmers is that crop growers are not getting the sufficient income of their crop. Although china increased its cotton production to 8.6% but growers income does not increased with the passage of time.Beside all these stats china hit the world market by importing the cheap textile products in the international market. It snatches the textile market from other countries and become a joint in cotton and textile industry.
